Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-20
This policy covers the Spin & Decide iOS app and this website (random.rdnv.io), both provided by Nikolai Rodionov ("we"). It explains what little data exists and where it lives.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising or analytics services of any kind. The app contains no third-party SDKs that collect data.
What stays on your device
Your wheels, their options, your spin history and your settings are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. We cannot see them, and they are never uploaded anywhere unless you deliberately share a result using the feature described below. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What this site stores
When you tap "Share result" or create a fair draw, the app sends that one decision to this site so a link can be opened by other people. Only what the link needs to display is sent:
- the title you gave it and the option labels and colours on screen;
- which option won, or — for a draw that has not been revealed yet — a secret seed and its published hash, so the outcome can be proven to have been fixed before anyone looked;
- for a draw resolved together, one opaque random identifier per participant, generated on their device, plus random data their device contributes to the outcome;
- the time it was created, and any reveal time you chose.
Nothing here identifies you. There is no name, no email address, no device identifier and no account attached to a shared link. Anything identifying in a shared decision would have to be text you typed into the options yourself.
Shared links are unlisted, not private. They are not indexed or listed anywhere, but anyone who has the link can open it. Treat a link the way you would treat the message you paste it into.
How long it is kept
Shared results and draws are deleted automatically 90 days after they are created, by a job that runs daily. There is no archive and no backup of expired rows.
Technical data
Like any web server, this site processes the IP address of incoming requests. It is used to rate-limit how many links one source can create per hour, and it is held in memory for that hour only — it is never written to the database and never associated with a shared link. Ordinary web server logs may hold request data briefly for operational and security purposes.
Who else sees it
Nobody. There are no third-party processors, no analytics providers, no advertising networks and no data sales. The site runs on a server we operate. We would disclose data only if legally compelled to do so.
Your choices
To stop the app collecting anything, simply do not use the sharing feature — every other part of the app works offline and stores nothing remotely. To remove a shared link before it expires, or to ask what a link holds, email us with the link and we will delete it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has shared personal information through a link, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Traffic to this site is served over HTTPS. Shared data is stored on a server we control. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not put sensitive information into option labels you intend to share.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the app or this site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
